An educational tour of the old age home was organized by the Department of Sociology of the Faculty of Sociology on 26 April 2024. An educational tour of the old age home was organized at Kuldeep Nigam Old Age Home located in Mana. The purpose of this tour was to spend time with the elderly people and interact with them. , The aim was to listen to their problems, learn from their life experiences and provide a
ssistance to them in the interest of our society. Through the visit to the old age home, the students developed sensitivity which helped them understand the importance of cooperation and support with people from different sections of the society. Understand.
Teachers said that by visiting old age homes, students gain experience and get an opportunity to interact with elderly people, which improves their social communication and understanding. Head of Department of Sociology, Dr. Anjali Yadav, Dr. Archana Tupat and Dr. Naresh Gautam of Social Work Department were involved in the visit to the old age home.
Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor SK Singh, stressed upon the students to integrate the knowledge gained from the educational tour in their working style and Registrar Dr. Saurabh Kumar Sharma inspired the students to learn continuously through the educational tour etc.
