B.Sc. (Hons.) Botany program provides a complete learning and training in plant forms, molecular genetics, geographical distribution or taxonomy of flora, seed biology, biotechnology, and cell, with uncommon and special reference to Indian environment, ecology, forestry, and commodities. B.Sc. (Hons.) Botany is a 3-year degree program and is career-oriented.
A successful graduate student will be able to identify plants belonging to different taxa and prepare standard herbaria. The student will be able to design and execute experiments related to biochemistry, physiology, genetics and molecular biology of plants. He/ She will be able to pursue independent researches in basic and applied researches in governmental, industrial and private academic and research establishments. To become Bachelor of Science in Botany (Hons.), you have completed 3 year bachelor degree program. Bachelor of Science in Botany (Hons.) can pursue M.Sc, M.Phil, Ph.D degree after completion of Bachelors.
