In the field of Ayurveda to connect the modern pharmaceutical with the traditional medicinal plants, Shri Rawatpura Sarkar University organ
ised a National Workshop on “Recent Trends and Future Prospects of Traditional Indigenous Medicinal Plants for Drug Development” by the Department Of Pharmacy which is sponsored by Chhattisgarh Council of Science and Technology (CCOST). In the seminar more than 500 participants including research scholars, academician and students from the different state of the India were present. As well as maximum famous Ayurveda physicians were also share their experience in the seminar and facilitate by the Chief Guest and Guest of Honour. In the technical sessions of the seminar total ninety poster presentation and fifty oral presentation were shown and the top five best awardees of the both activity facilitate by the awards.
The Registrar of the University, Dr. Saurbah Kumar Sharma given welcome address and said Shri Rawatpura Sarkar University feel proud to conduct these type of seminars and workshop which provide the real aspects of the particular field of the students apart from theoretical knowledge. The University always try to continue elaborate the Indian Knowledge System.
By briefing the overview of the national seminar, the convenor of the seminar Dr. Vijay Kumar Singh asserted that the main objective of the seminar was prepare a bridge to decrease a gap between traditional knowledge and latest pharmaceutical to aware the upcoming generation about the opportunities in the field of medicated plants.
In her address Guest of Honour, Dr. Manju Singh President, Indian Pharmacy Graduates Association, Chhattisgarh State Committee, Raipur first of all appreciate the way of gesture implement by the University administration because the University are like educational temple where the students get positive aroma with the involvement of teachers, researchers and administrators. And today in the seminar well known resource persons, paper presentations and huge involvement of the participation shows the great success of the national seminar based on the relevant theme and kindly according to present scenario. In the Rig-Veda, Ayurveda and Charak Samhita the importance of medicated plants and their benefits for human are given. So the students of today’s era understand the values of medical plants and begin work to grab the opportunities of Ayurveda World.
Chief Guest Prof. Rajiv Prakash, Director of IIT Bhilai asserted that, Indians were always be ahead in the Indian Knowledge System. For centuries, invaders from outside came to India to acquire this knowledge. Over time, this knowledge was kept separate in history. But through NEP 2020, India will become Vishwa Guru through the Indian Knowledge System and in future with the help of the youth India will achieve the goal of Vikshit Bharat 2047. Through this program, I request all the students of the Department of Pharmacy, Chemistry and Biology to understand Indian traditional plants, select any one medicinal plant of Chhattisgarh and then analyse their uses, availability and process to prepare a project report by which medicinal plants can be easily identified.
