Teachers' Day was organized at Shri Rawatpura Sarkar University on 5 September'2024 to commemorate the birth anniversary of great educationist Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. Chief Guest Prof. B. K. Sharma Professor (Retd.) Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University, Raipur (CG), Special Guest Dr.
Ramesh Kumar Pandey Professor Commerce Department Government Bilasa Girls PG Autonomous College, Bilaspur (CG) and Dr. Manju Pandey Head of Department, Geography Department Government Pataleshwar College Masturi, Bilaspur (CG) inaugurated the program by lighting the lamp.
Vice Chancellor of the University Prof. S. K. Singh, while welcoming the guests in his welcome address, said that every teacher is a student in front of his Guru. Universities are not just centers for providing information, but they also make students good citizens by instilling human values in them.
Special guest Dr. Manju Pandey, while sharing her memories, said that I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to all my teachers. We will always be indebted to you for your education and guidance. This day reminds us how important the contribution of teachers is in our lives.
Special guest Dr. R.K. Pandey told the students that you should remain connected with your teachers with respect because Google can only provide information, whereas true knowledge is possible only in the presence of a Guru. Therefore, it is very important for us to express gratitude and respect towards our teachers.
Chief guest Prof. B.K. Sharma, while discussing the stories of Nachiketa, Ashtavakra, Prahlad and Dhruv, said that teachers are the guides of our lives. Teachers are the lamps that dispel the darkness of ignorance and spread the light of knowledge. They not only give us bookish knowledge but also teach us the basic lessons of life. They make us self-reliant, responsible and morally strong.
University Registrar Dr. Saurabh Kumar Sharma thanked the guests, teachers and students present in the program and called for the restoration of the Guru-Shishya tradition and sent heartfelt best wishes to all the teachers. On this occasion, the entire university family was present in the auditorium.
