Accenture GEMS Program: A Leap Towards Empowering Women Engineers at Shri Rawatpura Sarkar University

In a significant stride towards fostering diversity and inclusion in the tech industry, five B Tech CSE students from Shri Rawatpura Sarkar University, Raipur, have enrolled in the prestigious Accenture GEMS (Girls in Engineering Mentorship and Self-Development) program. This initiative, championed by the Training and Placement Department of the university, marks a pivotal moment for these young women, set to graduate in the batch of 2026.

The students—Lovely Sharm

a, Khushbu Dewangan, Sejal Mudaliar, Anjali Sahu, and Kiran Vishwakarma—have been selected for this groundbreaking program, which is aimed at empowering India’s future by building a diverse talent pool. With a focus on elevating career trajectories for women and people with disabilities across various states in India, the program offers a comprehensive 12-month mentorship that includes 1:1 guidance, technology and soft skills training, and an 8-week internship opportunity. This initiative not only equips participants with essential skills but also prepares them to excel in their future careers.

In recognition of their enrollment in the GEMS program, the students were presented with laptops, a vital tool for their mentorship journey. The laptops were graciously handed over by the esteemed Respected Pro Chancellor of the university, , who blessed the students with words of encouragement.
