About the Course:

An M.tech (Civil Engineering) or M.tech in Geo-Tech Engineering is a 2-year course as an M.tech type.
M.Tech. in Civil Engineering with specialization in Geotechnical Engineering is a two-year postgraduate program that involves the study of the performance of various kinds of soil under the influence of loading forces and soil-water interactions. This program trains students to assess the risks from natural hazards such as wind earthquakes landslides etc. and helps them analyze, plan, construct foundations, and support structures in such a way that ensures minimum collateral damage in critical situations.
The curriculum for this program equips students to understand and implement the principles of soil mechanics and rock mechanics for the investigation and study of subsurface materials & conditions. Post completion of this program, students will be able to identify, generate and interpret data, apply numerical methods for modeling, and analyzing problems, evaluate the quality of data through testing and measurement equipment, and test critical hypotheses using logical and consistent quantitative or qualitative arguments.
